Location: The South Jetty is located within Fort Stevens State Park, which is off of US Highway 101, seven miles east of Astoria and thirteen miles north of Seaside, Oregon. Inside the park, follow the signs to the day use area. The South Jetty access is located at parking area C; access to the river is located at parking area D, and access to the Jetty Lagoon is across the road from parking area B.

Windsurfing Potential: The South Jetty: Strong wind with a strong rip current and undertow (especially after high tides). North of the jetty the river currents at the mouth of the Columbia can be extremely treacherous. The river: Strong wind with strong outgoing currents (especially after high tides). The Jetty Lagoon: Moderate wind with shallow, flat, sheltered water.

Facilities: Portable toilet(s) and lots of parking.
